Pudendal neuralgia is a neurological condition affecting the pudendal nerve, located in the deep pelvic region and through the pudendal canal. Often mistaken for gynecological or urological disorders, pudendal neuralgia or Pudendal Nerve Entrapment (PNE) can cause unbearable pain in various regions of the pelvis, such as pain in the anus, perineum, or genital area.

Our Alcock Rest pudendal cushion is available in two versions:

• With memory foam

Both versions share the same offloading shape that runs from the sacrum to the perineum. This design helps relieve pressure on the Alcock canal, through which the pudendal nerve passes.

The first version of our pudendal cushion combines High-Viscosity fluid with High-Resilience foam for optimal shock and micro-vibration absorption—especially useful when driving. The fluid moves with your body weight and natural motion, supporting movement and reducing pressure on the four fluid pockets.

In this new version of the Alcock Rest cushion, the High-Viscosity fluid pockets are replaced by a full top layer of memory foam. This memory foam helps reduce pressure across all support zones (buttocks and thighs), making it ideal for those with muscular sensitivity or strain. We recommend the memory foam version if your pudendal neuralgia is triggered or worsened by myofascial syndrome or piriformis syndrome, for example.
