Back Pain: Why Use a Seat Cushion?
Driving often leads to back pain due to several factors:

While seated, the sacrum and coccyx are submitted to constant pressure. This pressure travels up the entire spine to the neck and can cause back pain during car rides. For people already experiencing coccyx pain or back pain, sitting exacerbates the discomfort.
Another challenge in cars is that seats are often too low and reclined backward. In this position, the knees are above the hips, the spine curves forward, and the intervertebral discs compress. - Coccyx pain cushion: The cut-out at the back of the cushion relieves the coccyx and sacrum, reducing pressure and discomfort.
- Anti-vibration and shock-absorbing cushion: Our high viscosity fluid absorbs shocks and vibrations and reduce painful pressures.
- Help with conditions such as sciatica, lumbar pain, herniated discs, vertebral compression, ischial pain, cervical pain, etc.
- Pain relief with cold therapy by placing the fluid pouch in the freezer.
Why choose the memory foam version?
The memory foam version of the Ergoccyx car cushion features the same design as our original model (High-Resilience foam and High-Viscosity fluid) and retains the same shock and vibration absorption properties.
The added memory foam layer creates a very soft surface that smooths out the feel of the high-density foam used as the cushion’s base—essential for blocking vibrations transmitted through the seat. The memory foam also helps reduce compression across all contact areas (buttocks and thighs), whereas the non-memory version provides more localized relief at the fluid insert under the buttocks.
This memory foam car cushion is recommended for anyone looking for a very soft and plush seat cushion.

The Ergoccyx Vehicle car seat cushion is available in two sizes to suit different body shapes:
- Reference 2014V: 45 cm-width. In this size the cushion rises slightly on the sides, offering better support, recommended for most cases (including bucket seats).
- Reference 2013V: 40 cm-width, recommended if the contact of the cushion on the sides of the thighs may cause discomfort in the thigh (in case of existing thigh pain or thigh condition).
A strap can be added to attach the cushion to the seat and prevent it from moving with the user’s movements.
For seats with side airbags: Do not select the strap option on the backrest, as it may obstruct airbag deployment.
NOTICE: This seat cushion is thick at the back (6.5 cm) and may raise taller users too high in relation to the car roof.
